Here, Detroit's band of the future births a ColecoVision-addled little brother made not of snails and puppy dog tails but of squiggly electronic whimsy and a Tube Screamer pedal. This is a "new" New Grenada indeed; fans of their sweet guitar-driven pop may be taken aback at first by the abundance of synth beats and noise but by the time you get a minute into the opener, "Shock the House" and its hookier-than-thou chorus, any apprehension erodes and soon this naughty EP has you singing along and making mud pies in your mind.
